Movie about Darwin Can't Find a Distributor in the US.

So, you'll soon be back in civilisation. ;o).

The mainstream Christian churches seem to have no problem with Darwin's Evolution, so you'd have to wonder why a distributor can't be found. The Creationists really need to be told to pull their heads in. I still think a distributor will pick it up, and the publicity from the Creationists won't do any harm at all..

Aaaaaand God slaps his forehead yet again. Good thing he's immune to concussions.

Like Snowy, I'm seeing more and more Christians willing to accept the evidence science has presented and the processes it has demonstrated as a part of the Big Picture. Unfortunately, crazed simpletons can screech really, really loudly.
For me, it is part of the freedom of speech that those, who want to watch this film out of historical, aesthetic or other interests, should self-evidently have the possibility to do so! Christian fundamentalists demask themselves by being afraid of a piece of art. Who isn´t able to accept that there are people with another opinion and world-view, doesn´t have the slightest idea of tolerance (and Christendom)!

They can't be worried about whether it would make money or not. I'd pay money to watch Jennifer Connelly read the phone book. The trailer looks interesting. It looks like they really focus as much on his relationship with his wife as on his work.

Thank you for posting this trailer. This looks like an absolutely phenomenal movie. Regardless if it's distributed in the US or not, people will find a way to watch it.

I attended Catholic school my whole life and I never questioned science. It is built on facts, but I had one theology prof. who said it best. She said "Why can't we just say that God created Science, the molecules, the atoms, the elements and that it was God who somehow arranged those elements in a way that assisted the Big Bang Theory" I was pretty happy with that statement. For me, I could always separate the two, my faith and pure facts. It saddens me when I come across narrow minded individuals.
hey Snowy:) - yes, i'm going home! - lol!

yeah - it'll be interesting to see how this turns out - still, without a distributor, private cinemas could be "brave" enough to show it - hmmmmmm
Kirk! - yeah - most of the Christians i know do not deny science and evolution - however, the naysayers are certainly the most vocal - that's for sure! - and that's who gets heard
hey Pax:) - lol! - i'm really pleased with the casting - Paul Bettany always does interesting work - and it's nice to see Jeremy Northam around:) - i am intrigued by the way they've structured the movie around his family life - a different take - i'm looking forward to it
i hadn't thought of that angle, Rainbird - thank you
hey AFM - i was raised Catholic also - i am now and atheist, but thinking back, i don't recall anybody in my family who couldn't reconcile his/her spiritual beliefs with science (or evolution) - i do know people who can't - but, i also know that there are Christians and other Catholics like you who feel the same way:) - it's just that we're not so loud and obnoxious about it - but i do think we should be as vocal in our displeasure of such people seemingly dictating what we should be able to watch in accordance to their religious beliefs
paikea - you're right. We're not as loud or obnoxious because we find people like that to be... obnoxious and loud! :) I think there will come a time when people will say 'enough is enough'. As catholics, we're taught 'Free Will", but it really seems that anyone who is religious fanatic has forgotten this and feels the need to impose their fanaticism on others. It's really a shame.
Not sure if you heard, but "Creation" has a distributor now.
excellent - thank you Wannabe Tesla:)

That is a perspective on human life and our culture that is well worth pondering." -- Carl Sagan
