Two pics from our trip to Italy last week and a temporary "Auwiedersehen" of sorts...

hey guys - well, as you may have noticed, my posts are becoming increasingly far and few between - this is not because i don't have anything to say, it's just because we've been traveling and not here so much - and, we're going to be gone quite a lot from now on till we get back to New Zealand in the Fall (Northern Hemisphere Fall, Southern Hemisphere Spring - yay, i get to do two prime Spring allergy seasons back to back - help!)

we have trips planned back to Italy, twice to Spain, back to the states (wedding - NOT Indian this time - and family), and random other little trips in between

and this Wednesday, we leave for Sweden and Scotland for a couple of weeks

so, i will not be posting much of anything, but i will post pics and stuff of where we've been, when i can:) - i will be around and answering comments, maybe leaving comments, and checking in every now and then with shorter commentary - i'll be around, but, probably won't get to post anything of much substance till we get back to Welly - so, i'm going to be doing something i don't usually do - updating you guys on my life! - rather than rant on what's going on in the world!!!

i'll leave you with a couple of pics we took in Italy last week - Alagna - Steven had to get a last ski in - the first one is the requisite Percy picture - for those of you who don't know, Percy is my faithful Orca - he was given to me in college shortly after i turned 19 - he travels absolutely everywhere with me, and only once did i almost lose him when the maid in a hotel in Sydney (Bondi Beach) took him away with the sheets!

Our daughter and her Scot partner have just returned from Inverness, Scotland. Loch Ness is quite stunning, even without the monster.

All your travel plans so exciting. You get to go to some of the most beautiful places. These photos are amazing!!!

You're so lucky, doing all that travelling, I'm completely jealous. Those pics are stunning. Funny thing is that you are travelling about before going home to New Zealand whereas me and the other half are saving up to travel TO New Zealand. Scotland is lovely, especially the Highlands, if you get a chance do the drive across the mountains from the East coast to the West coast, it's amazing.

BwHahaha! And use the microwave, too?! LOL

awww - no monster? - hee hee - i'm looking forward to it, even if it's supposed to rain most of the time - i did live in Seattle for five years - i'm used to it:0

yes, Percy is rather spoiled :) - one of these days, i really will look up every picture we have of him in places - he's very well documented! - if you could, you know, manipulate your molecules, we could work something out, Stephel! -

thanks, LBeeeze - it was pretty stormy the whole time we were there, but you get the best pictures when it's all moody and stuff:) - there was a super cute kitty called Michaud who belonged to our landlady - wish i'd caught a pic of him!

hey Vicola - it is pretty funny:) - even thought we've lived in NZ for years, it's still sort of weird to be calling it home - but oh so cool:) - we had a blast when we visited the UK in Oct (London and random places in Wales) - the last time i went was with my dad when we were 10 - a bit different as an adult:) - i'm so totally looking forward to Scotland!! - i've always wanted to go - we are taking a three days to road trip before we have to get back to Edinburgh for four, but i still have no idea where yet...

You're right about the moodiness....it does make for good pics.

So you're not going back....no more chances to get a pic of the kitty?

hey Carlisa - so lovely to be checked up on:) - we're about to head to the US in a couple of days - perhaps while we're there, i'll be able to post some pics from Scotland and Sweden that are on Steven's computer:) - we go to Spain a few days after we get back from the states, so not much posting time for me:)

no more chance for a kitty pic, sadly:( - in a few years, maybe...

hey Mom2:) - in the middle of travel whirlwind! - hehehehe - we're off to the states in a couple of days, but i think i'll may get a chance to visit blogs while i'm away this time - it's weird being away from VOX for so long! - i hope you are doing well, and from the little blurbs i've been getting in my email from your notifications, you're photography is garnering accolades! - yay! - oh, did i tell you that i finally read the two books you sent me? - both were absolutely wonderful - thank you so much - without you, i would never have read them and learned new things - lots of hugs, me:)

Oh I'm sooo sorry that I'm late getting back to you! I'm ready and answering emails today and saw this one from you. I thought I had answered it long ago!

Are you here in the US now? I haven't read in so long...just no time as I'm back to work full time and trying to keep up with things here at home, and with my web and photography business. Long days and short nights right now.

I miss hearing from you and I'm glad you like the books. I'll have to see what else I can come up with. Is there an address in the US I can mail too or would it be better to wait until you get back from your trip and send to your address?

hey Mom2:) - we're in L.A. right now - about to take off for Boston and then back to Zurich on Sunday/Monday - then to Spain on Wed - so a wee bit manic! - no worries on the not getting back to me:) - i know you're there and busy:) - i've already come up with my next set of books for you - sending me them in Zurich would be fine and fantastic because i don't have any other books right now - used em all up! - and will use them up on the trips between then! - yikes! - i'll send you the details asap:) - lots of hugs:)

You are such a busy girl but busy in such a wonderful way! I'm excited to get my next books. Do you like mysteries? I have several that are a quick fun read. One is set in Arizona and it is about a women detective. I think you would like them.
